2/12 Update-2014 DEVON JOHNSON Iroquois HS & Prospects AAU

**2/12 Update**
Devon has a good season and is a member of an Iroquois High basketball team that has played good competition and won. One of those wins was over a really good team from Allatoona, GA.
His stat lines looks like this:
19.6ppg; 4.7 rpg; 3 apg

2/1 Update
Congratulations to the Iroquois High School Boys Basketball team on their big win!
"Iroquois becomes the first team to knock off Allatoona, the previously undefeated and No. 1 5A team in Georgia.  Devon Johnson scored the last five points of the game for Iroquois. Johnson capped off an Iroquois spurt to tie the game at 47 with a little over a minute in regulation, causing Allatoona to call a timeout to regroup.  Down one with 8 seconds, Johnson took the ball the length of the court to hit the game-winning bucket on a heavily contest shot in the paint.  Devon Johnson led all scorers with 20 points for Iroquois.  Daniel Fowler and Trey Tshiminga led Allatoona with 12 and 10 points respectively." via King of the Bluegrass Tournaments

8/17 Update
Trevecca Nazarene's recruitment in the Kentucky & Indiana areas increased with their indicated interest in Devon this morning. Congratulations young man. Add Trevecca to the list of interested DII schools that include Bellarmine and St. Leo (Tampa, FL).

8/3 Update
We had three guys that were extremely consistent at nationals in Orlando last week. Devon just happened to be one of three that was also dynamic. He turned heads. Bellarmine has expressed interest, and a handful of smaller programs as well. Congratulations young man, your name is rising!

Devon Johnson

Devon had an impressive Derek Smith Shootout. He is easily the most under-rated player in the city, if not  the state. While he is eager and motivated to prove such a thing, he knows he must continue to work hard & listen to his coaches.

While there is an obvious and well-represented portion of talented 2014's here in Jefferson County, the lack of coverage or recognition of Devon Johnson is without question, disappointing. While his high school and the Louisville Prospects AAU coaches agree he is a D1/D2 guard talent.

Devon has been selected 2013 All 6th Region Team & MVP of Iroquois' game at the Louisville High School Hoopfest. This spring and summer started with a strong AAU performances in Fishers, IN and State of Kentucky AAU Tournament.

This summer is off to a great start being selected for the 4th through the 8th Regions All Star Games @ Bellarmine University on July 13th. July's AAU trips include the adidas Indy Invitational, Eddie Ford Hoopfest (Louisville) & Nationals (Disney) & competing in the Battle of the Bridges (Louisville) in early August to cap off the summer.

Coach Jeff Morrow assures me that Devon is working extremely hard this offseason and with his 2013 AAU season off to a great start, he will surely have an amazing 2013/14 Senior season!
