As Jake continues to add strength to his game, it makes him tougher. He is a natural leader and a work horse. Every coach wants a player/person like Jake Whitlock! He and his teammates had a great season of growth and the table is set for a fantastic junior season. But first, we will get to enjoy him and the rest of the 2021's this spring and summer. The work will continue and he's up to the challenge.
There is a lot to Jake Whitlock, already we see he is a tremendous competitor. Throughout evaluations, a trained eye can see how fundamental he is and what a work ethic he possesses. Jake Whitlock is a true gym rat! He is a student-athlete that a coach loves to work with and get to know as a person. The short time he has been a Prospect, has been nothing less than impressive. There are very few guarantees in life, however, years in the Prospects program will showcase his abilities and coaches at the next level will be able to see what we see.HUDL Team Link:

**March 2021 Update**
Congratulations to Jake on being named to the 30th District All-Tourney squad. What an amazing high school career for the young man!
**February 13th Update**
Tonight, Jake Whitlock set the single-game scoring record at Spencer County, with a 37 point performance. To say we are proud of Jake is an understatement.
**January 2021 Update**
In mid January, Jake achieved a milestone, at Spencer County High School. Jake earned his 1000th point! Everyone in the program has a tremendous amount of respect for Jake, the student-athlete, teammate, and more importantly, the person. Jake's senior high school season is off to a good start, as we look forward to what the future holds for the outstanding young man.
**August 7th Update**
Jake had an impressive first night at the Pangos All-American Camp, scoring game-high 17 pts. and receiving publicity from the camp. Wednesday night, Jake and teammate, Lucas Hornback, received an in-home visit from Franklin College. Jake, and his teammates, Lucas Hornback and Ayden Mudd will be attending the Pangos All-American Camp in Indy this month.
**August 5th Update**
Jake and teammate, Lucas Hornback, took a visit to Centre College yesterday.
**July 29th Update**
Jake has had an impressive July, leading up to the finale in the Bearcat Classic, in Indianapolis this weekend. Leading his team to the Hoosier Shootout Championship last weekend, while averaging 5+ assists for the weekend, only highlights that this young man has to be one of the better point guards, in his class, in the state of Kentucky.
**July 2020 Update**
Peach St. week was a solid week of basketball for Jake. Again proving, not much rattles Jake, and the higher the competition, Jake always responds. The quickness of guard play in Georgia, he matched. The high-level guard play, Jake shined. He has been through the wars of travel and high school ball, and deserves that respect.
**April 2020 Update
Jake has received interest from the University of Chicago (DIII), and the interest definitely evolves from being a true student-athlete.
**December 2019 Update**
Recent visit to Centre College (KY)
**7/9 Update**
Jake has had a consistent spring and summer. He is adding more strength to his game, and his court awareness and feel for the game, is things we can see developing even more. Following a strong spring, he took a trip to IPFW and Holy Cross, playing varsity ball, and was impressive. At times, he looked more like a PG heading into his senior year, rather than his junior year.
Heading into July's Live Period, traveling to Aiken, S.C. and Peach State, look for the experienced point guard to show he deserves the success he works hard for, on a daily basis. Him and his backcourt partner, Lucas Hornback are a coach's dream and poised for a good junior year.
