**March 2020 Update**
Jake, among other high school student-athletes in Kentucky, had his season cut short. His #1 Male High team in the state of Kentucky, was on their way to Rupp Arena (KY) for the KHSAA high school state championship. The point guard and leader of Male High, helped lead his team throughout their district and regional championships.Jake Evans Junior Season Highlights (click here):
**March 2020 Update**
With a 31-4 record, district and regional champs, and headed to the Sweet 16 at Rupp Arena, one of the most important things to remember about Jake, he is the point guard of a team that has a high-level of talent, many of whom have already committed to college, and require great leadership in a team concept.
Jake comes to us from Male High School. We played against Jake last summer and liked him so much, we hoped he could fit for us. High academics and highly skilled point guard, that can play off-ball. Great work ethic, high IQ that just needs to keep working at his craft. It is a pleasure to have him in the program and a joy to be around and coach!
Jake had a great spring for us and has been on a tear with his high school summer league team. His vision allows him to reads plays before they happen and his shiftiness with the ball makes it very difficult to stay in front of him. He does a great job at creating space and knocking down shots, or blowing by his defender and finishing at the rim/making the extra pass. He's a selfless player who just wants to win and doesn't care how it gets done.
Jake was invited to participate in the NCAA Exposure Event in Champaign, Illinois from July 24th-July 27th and had a great week. He started the week strong by dominating the skills portion of the event, leading the way for his group in each category. In the team portion, he flourished in his natural floor general role putting up 20 points, 8 assists and 6 rebounds in one game. Most recently, Jake was invited to Malone University's Elite 20 Camp where he will participate on August 17th.
